Fixed a crash when loading a corrupt Live Set containing non-unique Pointee IDs. Live now recognizes if the set is corrupt and displays a corresponding error message. Users can reach out to Support to see if their sets can be repaired.

I rolled back to version 11.1.6 through the website and the problem is gone.
Version 11.2 is the problem! Roll back to 11.1.6!

It's an issue in 11.2. Support emailed me. Rolling back to any previous 11 version seems to fix it

mmm. I was right in not jumping on this new update...
I hope the issues will be fixed soon : I don't need troubles on a system that is presently perfectly fine with 11.1.5...
Could someone explain what is exactly the "pointee ID" issue ? Just so we learn a bit about how Live is working and what means exactly a "corrupt Live set containing non-unique Pointee IDs"...

wtf is this. cant run any old projects because the disk drive is going nuts. nothing is wrong with my computer i was working fine on music last night on the old version

I'm on Windows 10. A large amount of project files have become unopenable. They crash on open and Ableton doesn't even give a reason why. I reverted back to a previous version of Live and they opened just fine so there are definitely issues with the current build.

Support contacted but without reply. More then 100 multitracks.com songs unopenable in 11.2.6. Downgrade not possible as our main project has been already saved in 11.2.6 and not possible open in 11.1.6 any more
PS: midi helper project generated by Lightkey app not openable also.

I found a workaround for this issue. We also use multitracks for several projects that we import into Ableton and use as separate song files before inserting them into our template flow for the Sunday. I had to open the specific ableton project file that is pulling the error, and ableton will ask if you want ableton to attempt to repair the issue. It will repair it, then ask you to re-save the file. Upon re-saving the file after ableton repaired the song, I was successfully able to import it into Ableton, no problems. Let me know if that works!
