Hey,

I've updated Live to 11.2 and since then I've got an issue with the Expression control device. It cannot remember mapping after saving a project and opening it again (see an example attached, if I manage to add pictures to this post). I checked several times with several different projects. It's very problematic for me as I use it a lot, including on some projects I use for live performances. How can I fix this? Otherwise, how can I go back to Live 11? Or could it be a Max for live issue?

Yep, it's a known issue.

found some kind of workaround :

If you group your Expression Control device then mapping reappears. So I select the device, do a quick cmd + G then cmd + Z (I'm on Mac) and it's back...not something I want to do when performing live on multiple devices but reassuring to know it's still there somehow

Yes been getting this AND previous version as well but less so.

It worked and sorted it out for all tracks.
Come on Ableton sort this very basic problem out.

Yes, I can confirm this and it really sucks...

It's incredible how Live is always buggy.... I've been using it since 2005 and it has never been completely dependable.

This is happening for me too. I have an alternative method to the rack grouping to return the mapping which is deleting and undoing the device. I hope they fix this soon.

Also, the expression control in the max for live essentials pack does not do this.

Well, there's a new quite annoying issue with the device:
Aftertouch input will get cut off by any midi coming from the modwheel or pitch bend...

I am having this issue intermittently with 11.3.13

It can be fine for several days, then I load a session and all of my mappings under Parameter on Expression Control are blank. Deleting and undoing does fix it, but this isn't great when you're in a live situation!!

I'm using the old one which has blue highlights. The latest one, when using note velocity, doesn't revert to 0 when the note ends, it just stays at the last value. Perhaps I am missing something?

The device has been rebuilt from the ground up in L12, but it needs to be fixed for those who won't upgrade.
