Very new with Ableton but excited and made some great head ways. However, I spent a whole day recording the guitar track for one of my songs and cut and pasting the good stuff together and it all sounded great. Sit down the next day to keep working on it and there is a gap between every single clip. There is a line that creates a gap on the the wave form now at the beginning/end of each clip. It sounds terrible. Can anyone help me out how this happened? I just did another song and again all of a sudden there is gaps in some of the work i did.

Are you talking about Find In and Fade Out Handles of Ableton Clips ?
You can deactivate the automatic fades creation at Preferences / Record Warp Launch / Warp/Fades / Create Fades on Clip Edges.
