Midi Note Editor question

I record a performance and then edit it in the midi note editor (piano roll)... but there are small notes b4 every note I played. ???
I did not enter them there. I don't want to hear two sounds for every sound that I played??? It is rediculous to have to go back, zoom in and del every one???
Please advise if you know what is going on?

Are you sure your midi keyboard is defective?
Is it happening every time?
Can you check in another DAW or with a midi monitor?

A loopback of midi due to incorrect routing?
