I've created a template for controlling my hardware, and it works fine.
However, I always forget to enable the metronome on new projects I start with it, and I'm noticing the metronome on/off isn't saved within the template.

Am I missing something, or do I just need to remember better to turn it on?

Even though this isn't possible, what I do is create a key mapping for it and assign it to "c" so it's state can easily be toggled without having to go to a mouse and save that to the default template. But yeah I guess that workaround might not be suitable for all use cases and OP might already be doing that.
