Stuttering when moving the cross fader (Live 5.0.1)

I get a stuterring effect when I move the cross-fader. This also happens with no tracks assigned to A or B.
Anyone else having this problem?
UPDATE: It only happened in a particular set. No problems with new sets!

It is my belief having had this problem happen to me that there are actually three points you can use to assign midi controllers to on the crossfader. The extreme left and right are for buttons so that you can jump from A to B or vice versa quickly while the middle is for a slider which allows you to use the crossfader without the stuttering. I believe you mustn't have clicked exactly in the middle of the slider when you were assigning your midi slider. Just select what you've already assigned, press the delete button and reassign to a slider using the centre of the crossfader.

I also get bad crackles and dropouts on the xfader, when a set is about 75-80% CPU or higher.
