Hi, when i record piano, the sustain pedal does not trigger at the start. the first notes are always without sustain pedal. i checked the pedal and the piano. they work correctly, but not when recording in ableton.

Am i missing something? Any ideas?

Live responds to the nodes which are there during moments when a signal is sent to Live.

In the case of that image, the first node appears at the bottom, deep into the beginning of the clip. And then there’s a second node from the change of the pedal being active.

The crazy quirk on top of this is, if prior to the clip, there’s sustain max, then it’ll still look the same where sustain is zero, but you’ll Hear sustain max since there is no node to interrupt and signal a Change of the sustain pedal.
