Choking - 1st triggered sound chokes others

I want to reverse how the choke normally functions.
It's for a quiz show where the contestants compete an electronic circuit by pressing their buzzer that triggers a sample in ableton through key mapping.
So the 1st sample triggered must silence any subsequently triggered samples until the 1st sample has completed its duration.
Is this possible?
