Strange behaviour : Command drag in arrangement view

When in arrangement view when you are editing clips, chopping, rearranging etc, I usually click/drag while holding "command" to select the part I want to cut.

If grid is on > clicking will snap to the nearest grid line.
Normally when holding down "command" grid is ignored, so I can click and drag any selection without having to change grid size or disabling grid snap.

But since I'm working on a new Macbook Pro (M1 max) there is a really annoying & strange behaviour.
When I click drag with "command" now a selection is made from the last selected part to where I click.
So it has become impossible to isolate a small part when grid is turned on.
(on the other hand, no grid is also a very big disadvantage, so it needs to stay on)

Anyone experiencing the same problem?
Don't even know where to begin, as it is hard to explain and find solutions online.

Yep, I'm seeing the same here.

I'm on Live 11.2.7, macOS 12.6.2 - working with a clip in arrangement view, if you use CMD+mouse to select an area it starts the selection from a previous position rather from the position where you actually click down. Whereas in the sample editor for the same clip it still works as expected.

Smells like a new bug to me?
