Difference between a pitch spectrum and a spectrum analyzer

Post by cvsa.8940 » Sat Dec 24, 2022 9:23 am

I cut the treble with the equalizer, but when I look at the pitch spectrum, it appears that the treble is not completely cut. I tried layering the equalizer but to no avail. (Is the pitch spectrum different from the spectrum analyzer in terms of the data it displays...?)
How can I completely cut out sounds in a particular register?

"low cut" and "high cut" filters don't literally remove all high or low frequencies. the EQs used in music production can attentuate certain frequencies, they don't completely remove them.

to "completely cut out" a sound you need to add the exact polar opposite sound so that the sound waves cancel each other out.
