Hello all,

after googling around and trying a lot of things, I end up forking https://github.com/widdly/BCR2000plus from widdly and customise it for the BCF2000: https://github.com/LukasP46/BCF2000plus.

It is work-in-progress, but works okay so far :) Thank you Widdly for the great work and also j74 for the "Generic-Python-Remote-Script" https://github.com/j74/Generic-Python-Remote-Script

Feel free to contribute to the repo :)

Have fun!
Lukas

Hi friend, no one ever responded to this but I just wanted to pop in and say thank you. I got a BCF2000 a little over a year ago and went a couple weeks without being able to figure it out and set it up properly. But then I found this script and it has genuinely revolutionized my workflow (hybrid otb and itb, and recording/jamming at home and live). So thank you, a lot for this!!!!!!!

Well and thanks to your bump on this thread, I found the BCR2000 MIDI Remote script. From there I found the link to

https://github.com/j74/Generic-Python-Remote-Script

which seems to be an invaluable resource for anyone looking to get into the Remote Script business. 👍

Hey everyone, if you want to use Ableton with the BCF2000, check out my MIDI remote script! (its free)

I've included controls for the usual things, like volume and mixer controls, transport controls, scrubbing and skipping, looping, and more. But one huge thing I added is EQ8 functionality.🎛🎛🎛🎛🎛🎛🎛🎛!

Oh, and a session box with ⬅ and ➡ buttons, so you can move one track at a time (instead of jumping 8 tracks like MackieControl Mode does😎)

There are different pages for the different uses. On some pages, the faders control track volume, while on others, they control EQ8 gains and resonance. Likewise, the encoders control panning on some pages, and EQ8 frequencies on others.

The buttons in the top left rows are solo and arm for the first page, and the transport controls for all the other pages

This thing has really helped me with writing volume automations, but my favoritee part is the EQ8 mapping. Adjusting the EQ8 parameters with faders and knobs has enabled such a better process for me. Just having the ability to sweep, apply gain, and kill frequencies, without needing to click and click and click.... the mouse, its truly enjoyable using this instead.

❌🖱 ; 🎛🏄‍♂️!

Anyway, hope it helps anyone out there using a BCF2000 still.

There are links on my gumroad page to take you to other places like the Youtube explanation and some 3D models, if you want to replace the faders and knobs as well.
