Hi
I just got Ableton Live 11 and a Push 2.
I also got a MOTU M4 Interface.
Everything is set up and audio/guitar recording works fine.
Now I would like to
1.) implement my old Synths (Yamaha DX7, Roland MT32)
2.) Use my Yamaha DX7 as Keyboard to record Piano etc.

My Motu has midi in and out; The DX7 and MT32 have in, out, through
How can I connect and set up everything correctly so that i can both use the Push 2 (for drums, loops, etc) and the Dx7 as master keyboard and the roland sound canvas?
Thanks 4 helping !!!

Push sends midi via its usb port.
Use your Motu midi in to connect your synths.
I suppose the Motu has only one midi in port, so connect it to e.g the midi out of your DX7, and connect the midi out of your MT32 to the DX7's midi through.
In Live Preferences, midi panel, make sure that the Motu midi input port is activated.

Thanks for helping. Will try it out tonight.
The midi out of the Motu doesn't need to be not connected?

Only if you want to control your synth(s) from Live.

Ok thanks. Yes, I want it connected to Live. So

Motu in to Dx7 out
Dx7 throught to Mt32 out
Mt32 in to Motu out?
