volume drops when changing the routing

i have battery 2 set up so that this one sample plays onto audio 3/4. Ive been doing this for awhile with no problem. Today when I play the sample why Im playing a bass clip the volume on the drum sample drops, when I put the drum samples output back to 1/2 its normal. There are no effects on any of these tracks. Any ideas?
