Ableton Live performance with In Ear Monitors

I'm trying to figure out how to use in ear monitors properly.

I'll be doing a show using Ableton, a midi keyboard, and an interface (SSL 2+).

When I use wireless in ears, where does the transmitter go? Do I keep it on stage next to me and plug it into my interface? Or does it go next to the sound guy for him to connect to his board?

If it goes to the sound guy, then how would I be able to control my levels within Ableton and use a click track and what not?

Super new to all of this stuff.
