Copying a sound file while opened in Live

Hello,
I almost only use Live and Samplitude in music. So I don't know what is normal...
In Samplitude (and I guess in other daw maybe) If you want to copy a wav which is currently use in the daw,
you just have to open your OS explorer then ctrl C and ctrl V elsewhere, voila!
In Live, even if audio engine is off, after a right click on a wav and then "open in explorer", you can copy the file but impossible to paste it elsewhere, a message says that it's because it is used by Live.
The only way seems to entirely close Live to just copy a used file without altering it ?
Is there a workaround ?
