What are the options for audio reactive visuals 2023?

Hi.
I want to get into audio visualization, but there are too many options.
At first, I've been using Processing with minim library, but I can't make long visuals, since somehow fps drops overtime.
That's why I want to know about other possibilities.
I found out about TouchDesigner, but the price seems too high to buy it without knowing if it will be worth it.
Also thought about buying Max/jitter, but there is PlugData with the GEM library. So I don't know if it will be a similar experience.
If someone knows about other software, or about the ones mentioned. Please let me know.
