Hello there! I am preparing for a live show and I set up my ableton project similar to how a dual deck DJ setup would work. I have two channels with tracks on them that I can play, stop, nudge, transition inbetween, etc. They are both the same tempo, 130 bpm. (The project tempo is also set to 130, and both tracks have re-pitch warp mode on to simulate actual records)

I realized that if I try to use a track with a tempo of 128 (or anything else) I've run into two problems. 1) If I warp the new track to it's actual bpm, it doesn't line up with the other tracks and I can't line it up because the nudge feature is broken since the project tempo and the new tracks tempo aren't the same. 2) If I warp the new track's bpm to 130 like the ableton project, it pitches the track to a different pitch (obviously since it's in re-pitch mode) and I don't want to use the other warp modes because it makes the track sound bad.

How do I work around this? I want to transition smoothly between tracks with different beats per minute but I haven't found a solution...

Warping correctly brings all the transients to the grid, then when you play your clips back they will all play at the master tempo so there's no nudging needed.

It's a different workflow to Doing so you need to get your head round that first, think of it as the same as solely using SYNC in DVS software, everything must be beat gridded first and you'll always stay at the same tempo unless you change the global value.
