Hi there
I'm attempting to sync midi drum tracks from a roland TD27 kit, recorded in Live 11, to an Alesis HD24 HD recorder with the other audio tracks.
I'm trying to get the Alesis to control Live., still giving me control over drum sound and note timing.
I've tried looking at midi timecode...but no luck.
My audio interface (Motu M4) only has midi.
There are settings in Live prefs that deal wth Link/Sync/MTC/MMC that I'm still trying to get my head around.
Do I need to use an alternative like wordclock or optical? Or can I use midi?
Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding settings etc>
Much Appreciated

Re: Syncing Ableton Live 11 to Alesis ADAT HD24
The HD24 can control midi sequencers via midi timecode, so it should work.
Configure the HD 24, that it sends MTC and MMC:
MIDI01:MMC Send MMC?Yes
MIDI02:MTC Generate MTC?Yes
Connect midi out (HD24) to midi in (Motu M4)
In LIVE select midi port in, sync -> Motu M4, sync type= MTC
In LIVE the EXT button (top left corner) should be active.
Now you should be able to remote control the transport functions in LIVE by the HD24.
