In my preferences I have my Live gather up audio on project export. But what about making sure that samples that have been dropped on to a project also are stored with a project.
I've just recorded five reasoanble audio tracks using another application that generated wav/mpr files. Having dropped these audio clips on to my project, worked with and then saved the project, I deleted the source audio clips. I was surpised to discover that when I opened my project that my tracks were indicated as off line. I now realise that Ableton is meant to work that way.
Fortunately I was able to undelete the files, copy them into my project folder and restor them to the tracks.
Is there a better way please?
How to keep audio inside my project
Re: How to keep audio inside my project
File -> Collect All And Save
That will gather all samples used in the project into the project folder.

I brought this up somewhere else, this imnsho should be an option when saving. Not everyone "remembers" to do this (though I'm getting better at it

Thank you very much. I was aware of this process but forgot it was there.
