yeah chicks dig a bloke with a mac laptop :)

seriously tho (and i own a powerbook, see earlier in the thread) this machine does everything i throw at it at the moment so i'm happy enough.

we could do with the abes hiring someone in to look into this tho as the real difference in performance in other apps is, i suspect, not as great as the above figures suggest.

as soon as the intel powerbooks land tho i'm fairly sure i'll be picking one up.

and no, switching to a PC is not an option as i value the OS and hardware more than that. i've had an xp laptop and whilst it was stable enough (easily just as stable as OSX) the overall day to day use, _for me_ felt clumsy compared with osx (i stress this is just for me)

right...on with more figures....

Coldmachine:

I'm really impressed with your results.
I have almost the exact same laptop, except from M-Tech... (but it's the exact same Clevo case)

I opted for the 600 series processor, and for 3.4 GHz instead of 3.8 GHz... to save some cash, and to try and keep things a little cooler.

Looks like the extra speed really gives your box a kick. Nice choice. 8)
