transport starting mysteriously (live 11)

Hi-

I am having a wierd issue where live 11 starts playing suddenly when it has been left alone for a while. I expect that it is getting some kind of transport start message from one of the (many) connected MIDI devices or even from ableton link. Does anyone know how to go about diagnosing this? are transport events logged someplace? can i run live in debug/verbose mode to enable diagnosing this?

Any help much appreciated.

Anyone?

There must be some way to turn on verbose logging.

has anyone else had their transport start when nobody is there?

ghosts in the studio?

try using a MIDI monitoring app. e.g. MIDI-OX for Windows, or Snoize MIDI Monitor for macOS...

yeah, i have midi monitor running. maybe that will find it. however, i've had to silence:

- the constant 'active sense' messages from push
- the constant 'bank select 0' messages from RME ARC

wonder if the sheer volume of messages from these two sources is a problem...

Ghost notes... :)

Serious: Something sends transport messages. I recommend checking all settings of all your MIDI devices. Worst case: Disconnect all, reconnect one by one and then you will see what device is the culprit.

you could use something like Bome MIDI Translator to filter the messages and notify you when a transport message is received...
