Remove silence from a recorded clip

Hi, I recorded some sounds and I would like to remove silence from the audio clips. Is there a fast way to do it instead of cropping samples manually?

Live does not have a strip silence function, so you’d need to do it manually.

There was an excellent M4L device for this, which is currently unavailable. I would appreciate it if someone could create something similar for the current version of Ableton

You should be able to do this using Audacity, a free audio editor, using the truncate silence effect.

Personally, I would prefer to have this tool directly in Ableton
