simple dot reacting to midi notes

Hello,
I’m very new in jitter in M4L and I would like to do something that I think Is very simple but I really don’t have the vocabulary.

I would like to have dots in a video screen, activated by midi notes, and precisely disposed in space.

For now I’m just discovering how to play videos but I just need really basic dots.

Would anyone explain to me the basic to realize this easy (?) thing? What kind of object could I use to generate this?

You could use something as simple as a [bang]...
Did you have a look at the new Building Devices Pack and other ones like MaxForLive Building Tools or M4L Essentials?
