Push 3 ADAT I/O recommendations?

I can confirm that the UAD Apollo 8 works great with Push 3S.

I saved my two Console configurations (one to/from computer and one to/from Push 3S ADAT), which makes it quick to switch back and forth. All of my existing outboard gear were instantly available to my P3S.

great - thanks for that feedback! But I did imagine that an interface of that price point would be capable of acting like an adat expander and be able to save different configurations. Now we need to find out if older/smaller/cheaper interface can do this as well

EDIT: The manual does say that it can function as a standalone mixer without a computer - and I do like the idea of a full blown remote.

The Motu mk5 worked with my Arturia Audiofuse in standalone when I demo’ed it. Don’t have one on hand to test with the push 3 today, tho. I imagine it will. Are you just looking for a desktop DAC with toslink?

with "@" i meant "regarding the motu ultralite" you were able to find an interesting link that somehow confirms that some motu audio interfaces can be used as adat expanders

Oh I have an evo16 and I'm struggling to get it to work (never used ADAT before) - could you help me figure out how to make it work? How did you set it up? Thanks!

that was exactly my point above. i don't think it will work. I also was about to buy an evo16, but i think, as it is just an interface, it will not work as an adat expansion. it's adat ports ar there "to be expanded" through something like the EVO SP8. i may be wrong, but i think it works like this. Also, the release of a SP8, would not have any sense if there is already the evo16 which could do the same stuff.

I don't own an EVO interface yet, so I can't really tell how to make it work. But I think, procyborg is right, you'd have to go for the SP8 in a standalone setup. It may eventually work with the EVO16 too, but I guess it must be connected to a computer then and you would have to make some corresponding settings.

The handful of 4 input dats I can think of are all 19”

I’ll keep my ear to the ground, though.

yes, as soon it is 100% confirmed that the ultralite is working, i get one for sure.
