Ableton Forum

Hi,

if i start Ableton on my Computer i get a wifi connection to Push but some Seconds later it looses the connection.
I have this issue with my Notebook and with my BIG DAW. Both on Win 11 newest updates installed.

Funfact as i copied a part of my Samplecollection, the conection was stable until the copy was finished.
So i have to restart Ableton copy a Project or device to Push .. some seconds later the connection is lost again.

And i tried to ping the Push3 in my Network. There is no timeout. At least i dont have any other problems in my Network.
Also i tested it in 2ghz wifi and 5ghz wifi no difference.. Only the ping is faster in 5Ghz.

Hope that could be fixed.

It only can if you report to Tech Support (https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). If you already did, great!

Yep, we're monitoring. But we can't fill tickets for others, you have to do it yourself

Official forum yes, but there’s no tech support here, it’s only for users to discuss Live and help each other with issues/questions.

Seems that Push3 is not Compatible ?!?! wit some wifi Routers .
I swapped my accespoint from GT-AC5300 to Unifi AC HD.

Maybe there are problems with Router that uses Boadcom cimhipsets ? .. Only thing that is driving me crazy is all Other Wifi devices with Ableton Link was working 100% with my "old" Accesspoint.

But now its Solved.

I am pretty sure it's not a wifi or chipset issue, unless push doesn't CONNECT to wifi at all. If push doesn't see Live or vice versa, it's a network configuration topic. I've already helped one user on gs, whose issue was solved after resetting his router.
Quite a few routers now do client isolation which prevents devices on the same wifi from seeing each other.

But Push was only visble in ableton if i restart ableton. And then only for 30 seconds. No Ableton Link was possible to push.

I dont had any trouble with any other device on this Asus Accesspoint before.
Also Ableton Link was working with ipad ect.

Now im on Unifi AC and all is working

AFAIK link relies on avahi /mdns /bonjour, so a successful ping might not be representative. Tbh I currently don't know which ports to test (or exclude from firewalls), so that mdns gets through.

as i said i have some other devices with LINK and they had worked without any problem with the Asus Accesspoint. Push 3 not.

Also there was nothing filtered or blocked in the settings of the AP.
