Using External Audio Effects with Push 3S

Is the External Audio Effect device working for anyone on their Push 3S?

The External Instrument device works fine, but the External Audio Effect is not giving me the option to set my input and output channels.

Is there a special trick to using that device on the P3S?

Ive been using the pc to create them then copy them onto the push, hopefully there is a better way.

Unfortunately that's the only atm.
I didn't try yet but that would be worth testing: create an External Audio Effects preset with the desired in/out settings in Live, and send this preset to P3. With a bit of finger's crossed, P3 might recall the preset with the correct in/out settings (providing these are set to 1/2/3/4 - or more if you're using an ADAT expansion).

Thats what i did, i made an effect for the octatrack and one for my 707, saved them and loaded them on to the push. Luckily they keep the settings when opened on the push. Fingers crossed the device gets an update to work on standalone.

Yeah, go to controller mode, set up the external effect on your pc or mac, save it then drag it into your push user folder.
In standalone it will have the same settings you saved. Seems weird something like this has been missed but the workaround isnt too bad.

How are you routing the send and return? Someone suggested routing audio out of the headphone jack, but I don't see an option to do that. I don't want to buy another audio interface with Adat just to set this up. Thanks.

just enable headphones as audio out 3/4 in the settings.

I forgot to come back and confirm.... setting it up on the computer and then transferring did work for me.

I had to learn a few new things about configuring the Apollo 8 console (ADAT routing), but once I did, the External Audio Effect.

Thanks for the guidance!

When I'm at my computer again, I have to see if the External Audio Effect hardware latency compensation can be set on the computer and have an impact on the standalone.

I put together a video tutorial on how to use the effects (routing has to be setup on a computer with current firmware)

They have to resolve this. They really have no choice. This completely screams not standalone.
