Its a long story made short. Boom i have this product called Focusrite Scarlett2i2 gen3 (Ordered from Indian Amazon).
I connected this device and try to make my first recording and as i was recording, i accidentally pressed the space bar and from then the device has been bricked.
So i tried to troubleshoot but nothing could be done then i called the customer care, he further suggested me to go for repair.
Since there was a workshop here in India, they too couldn't fix it so they replaced and sent me a new one.
Just the brick Focusrite 2i2 3rd GEN and not the whole set. Even they did a great job.
So i am at my pc now and i tried to connect which the pc did recognize from Focusrite Control.
But when i try to connect to Ableton Live 11, it says cannot recognize the audio device. I tried installing uninstalling and still the same result.
I even tried it on a laptop and still no good.
Please see the snapshot.

Re: Failing to open audio device (interface)
The Focusrite 2i2 should be connected via usb to your pc. You dont need the thunderbolt driver, (only for Focusrite devices with thunderbolt connection), can be uninstalled. Could you try with other audio software on your pc? Is another software using the Focusrite 2i2 asio driver? In general the asio driver cannot be used by more than one software simultaneously.

Re: Failing to open audio device (interface)
Thank u for ur reply. I am now understanding that ASIO driver cannot use more than one software at a time.
But if i remember correctly i tried that using a x32bit application called FL Studio 20.0.3.532 and even there i had some problems.
I will install it and give my feed back.

Hey what do you know, i used FL Studio Producer Edition 12.4.2 and there only ASIO driver was needed to be selected and after some youtube on how to record. Boom, it worked, FL Studio was able to recognize the Audio input and then i recorded my audio.silentio246 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2023 5:52 amThe Focusrite 2i2 should be connected via usb to your pc. Thanks for the tips, it worked. Although not in Ableton Live 11. Which came along with the package.

Re: Failing to open audio device (interface)
Did you select the right audio driver (Focusrite USB ASIO) in Ableton Live, as shown on your first photo?
