Ext. Audio Effect from Push 3S ADAT through UAD Apollo 8 to Line and Back

Acknowledgment: This question probably has more to do with configuring the Apollo Console settings correctly, but if any Ableton users have knowledge they can share, I welcome the insight/help.

I’ve been able to confirm that I have the external audio effect sending to the correct ADAT out, line out, line in, and ADAT in. The issue I’m running into is that I have either way too much gain going out, a feedback loop, or something that has everything hitting the red. I’m usually able to address feedback loops, delay feedback settings, etc within Ableton, but this extended approach though UAD ADAT is new to me and I’m missing something.

By chance, does anybody else use an Apollo as an extension through ADAT and know how to set up your sends/returns in the UAD environment?

Update, in case this is useful to someone else in the future...

The key to resolving this was setting up a new Cue Mix and routing it to the line outs for the effects chain.
