I am on Ableton 11.3.3 Build 2023-05-23 and not seeing Drift in my list of instruments. 2012 Macbook Pro running version 10.15.7 (Catalina). Does anyone know if Drift is not compatible with my machine? I have another Macbook Pro M1 that it works on.

I’ve had this happening as well. Restarted Live, it showed up. Weird.

I just updated to 11.3.3 and Drift is not showing up. Elsewhere online people recommed turning "Group In Folder" off and back on, and/or rescanning plugins. None of these things has helped. I've reinstalled multiple times, deleted and reinstalled, nothing. I don't understand how they can screw something like this up, it's not like Instruments are a new feature.

If you’ve been reinstalling Live multiple times, it probably keeps trying to do the indexing. Might be worth just leaving Live open for a few hours and see if that helps.

Thanks. I eventually got it to show up by finding the .adv files and opening one. This has bitten a number of people, hours seems like a long time to wait for Ableton to recognize a tiny file.

Agreed, it's something we've passed on to the devs already.

@chase Would you mind sharing more details about finding the .adv files and opening one? I've tried turning group by folder off and on again and re-scanning plugins. No luck still.

Usually letting L11.3 to scan its library for a moment when you open it for the 1st time after the update does it.
If you already did, then maybe re-downloading the full installer and reinstalling it could help?

Sorry I didn't see this until now. On the Mac I went to Applications, chose Ableton Live, right-clicked and chose "Show Package Contents".

Then inside the package I went to ⁨Contents⁩ ▸ ⁨App-Resources⁩ ▸ ⁨Core Library⁩ ▸ ⁨Devices⁩ ▸ ⁨Instruments⁩ ▸ ⁨Drift⁩.

I chose a preset inside the Bass folder (Climb the Ladder.adv I think) but any of them should do. Hope that helps.

Not sure where the presets are on other systems.
