Ableton support doesn't respond to process Push return
Re: Ableton support doesn't respond to process Push return
Hyperbole about 'being sued' is totally over the top.
Meanwhile Im very much enjoying being on the public beta of the standalone Push which got opened up recently. Lots of bug fixes which are clearly described in the release notes, and even a firmware update in the second beta today. Fingers crossed that resolves the touchstrip issue.

Could you imagine filing in small claims against a company based in another country over an rma. :-p that would be a waste of the $73 filing fee.

It's been one week since Ableton support promised to handle the return of my Push. Ableton support isn't answering to honor their promise to provide instructions for the return of this product.
Are such deceiving companies common in Germany?

Re: Ableton support doesn't respond to process Push return
My problem is not only the buggy alpha state of push.
I had massive problems with the support. The dont understand that there are People like me who are using mixingdesks and Multitrackrecording without external instrument plugins and Mixing inside of Push. My most serious problems are related to this fact. I am a old man with a big Mixingdesk. Seems Ableton Psuh Standalone is not made for prehistorics like me.
I am shocked. Mostly of the support and that there are so a few people who are running in this problems. So it seems to be a kind of exotic workflow to be oldscool.
And they are handeling my cases as i am a noob witout any technical background. Crashlog , still the same answers. No use external instrument .. i cant get this failure. You are misunderstanding Ableton at all. Even if i pointed them everytime again that i dont use Ableton to recording or mixing audio.
They keep repeating that i have to use Exrternal instrument plugin. and blah.
Timing issues and Midi implementation @ all ( Muting, PGM changes, ect. ) makes it totally unusuable for me.
And i am shocked if 5 People are only recognizing those problems in the whole web that it will be fixed in near future.
I would lost my complete hope if the Midi Muting Bug is also a OSX problem. On windows it is Muting correct. But i read from someone that Ableton has the same bug on his Computer ( maybe Mac ? ) If that is the case .. and nobody had this problem before.. i will be knocked out. Again .. old man with Mixing Desk ..
So for now i keep using my derubbered now unsticky Push2 ( Isopropanol did it ) and my Force as MasterBrain of my Studio.
Maybe i take a closer look to Bitwig in the future. Dont know if the support there is more technically backgrounded, but from my point of view it could not be worse.
So i think no .. no no no i wont.
Maybe i wait for the Force2

Re: Ableton support doesn't respond to process Push return
I’ve got my refund this morning after chasing! It’s the first time I’ve returned something of such cost and not wanted a replacement, i wasn’t convinced the issues could be fixed in software and amazed non of the reviewers didn’t pick up on all the faults! Definitely think that all units shipped are defective!
Re: Ableton support doesn't respond to process Push return
Thats a big claim and one that assumes that all units behave the same as yours, and other assumptions.
For example the touch strip issue has very much been fixed via a firmware update. Maybe some of your other issues were actually hardware-related, without detail I cannot say.
Re: Ableton support doesn't respond to process Push return
at least it is an insolence to release a Product in such a condition.

Claim/not claim... Ok cool, but please don't argue for ages.

It does sound like you're not getting what you need from either Push 3 or Ableton themselves
It will be interesting to see if Akai respond to Push 3 by progressing Force in some way

Re: Ableton support doesn't respond to process Push return
what exactly do you expect from Force2 "in response" to Push3?
Because from my point of view, Force (v1) is already a much more mature product, and therefore has all the features that Push3 lacks... (even automation curves, linear audio tracks (with REAL editing functions), arrangement mode ...)
it's just the hardware, I guess... (and even here, the Force still has a few advantages... there's a bigger screen, for example...)
ok its pads aren't MPE, but that's it?
