Hello Dudes

Has anyone of you already connected a USB power bank as an external power source to Push Standalone and if so what type?

According to Ableton, it must meet the following requirements:
"Push 3 can be powered using a USB power bank. Use a PowerDelivery(PD)-capable power bank that can supply 20V/3A."

Stimming mentions in his Push video that the included power cable is 65W, but during my research for a suitable power bank I noticed that all power banks with 65W do supply 20V/3.25A and not 20V/3A as 60W powerbanks actually do.

What would you choose 65W 20V/3.25A or 60W 20V/3A, I'm leaning more towards the latter but am a bit confused.

The amp rating is the maximum output, a 3.25A supply can do 3A or any other amp output equal to or lower than 3.25A. The amount drawn from the supply is governed by the device receiving the power, in this case Ableton is basically saying it will not draw more than 3A, so a supply with that or higher will work.

Note that the above logic does not apply when discussing voltages. In that scenario you need to get the exact voltage required. In this case both examples are 20V so no issues.

I would guess that the 65/20/3.25 option will be more readily available and so will be the easier choice in practice here.

I'm using this one and it's working perfectly.

Are you using that with the USB-C cable that came with the Push 3?

Hi Jur - I've bought this powerbank - how do you connect it to the Push 3? just USB-C from the powerbank into the USB-C port on the Push 3?

You can use a usb-c to usb-c cable. I use the same powerbank as @jur. I use this cable to power the Push 3 Standalone :
