Hi, just installed Push 1.1.2 on my Push 3 standalone. However, I have no clue what has changed. Does anyone know where I can find the release notes for Push updates? Could not find them.

I hope the problem with the touch strip going crazy is fixed in this release. There where some rumors that Ableton is working on a software fix to be released with the next update. Let's see...

So the touch strip issue is claimed to be fixed. Nice!

Updated Push firmware package to version 1.2.0:
- Fixed an issue that caused the touch strip to get stuck.

However, after installing Push 1.1.2 on my standalone, when going to the "Software" tab, it claims:

Push 1.1.2
Ableton Live 11 Suite (11.3.4)
Firmware 1.0.69
Your Push is up to date

So why has my firmware not been updated to 1.2.0? Is there some extra step necessary to update firmware?

The firmware for Push is actually 5 different components. So while the firmware version is listed as 1.2.0, the component shown on push’s display will be a different number. This will be addressed to make it less confusing here shortly.

Yeah 1.0.69 means your firmware has been updated, including the touch strip fix.

I have Push Standalone firmware 1.1.10b2, Ableton Live Live 11.3.10b2. How do I upgrade it to Push 1.1.2? Push Standalone says it´s up to date? I have Ableton Live 11.3.4.

See the same documentation you used to install the beta/pre-release channel on the Push. It is available in centercode under the Ableton HW project.

You probably need to download the fallback of 1.1.1 (in Centercode under Regular Releases), update your firmware manually, and then let it auto-update from the release channel. This is outlined in the documentation for the beta program.

That said, why do you want 1.1.2 ? I believe the fix that was just released in 1.1.2 is already in beta 2 of 1.1.10 (and more) -- just check the published change logs for both releases and you'll see.

Yeah, just stick with the beta. Otherwise you'll need to revert back manually, as Zenkick mentioned.

Ok. Thanks! Thought that some little fixes was made in the 1.1.2 firmware compared to beta firmware.

when I pressed "Update" the screen said "New Set created" and then continued updating. Kind of weird/bad UX (was a new empty set anyway, freshly booted)

Did that for me as well. I guess it creates an empty set before updating, just to make sure there's nothing loaded that could interfere with the update, and maybe to give you a chance to save first if you have any unsaved changes.

Aww...still no Arranger mode... Well, maybe next time..
