Push 3 Standalone with Other Instruments Examples?

Q: For an external instrument, could I "freeze" one performance as an audio recording of the track? and have it occupy the same track of the "external instrument" , for when I take Push 3 to a show, for example, and no longer have the Syntakt, or whatever else, with me?

(instead of what I did above, which was to record the input back into an adjacent Audio Track)
