Live 11.3.10 - Any issues ? Any fixes ?
Live 11.3.10 - Any issues ? Any fixes ?
Hi there
Traditional concern : for those that updated to the last 11.3.10 version, do you have any feedback about new issues or problems that are now fixed ?
Please feel free to comment here (if possible, indicating from what version you did update and what OS you use)...
I think it will be a good help for all the anxious guys (like me) that want to update but don't want to mess with a stable set up adding new issues...
P.S. : I did read in a Live facebook group that the M4L dev 36db was advising not to update because their devices have somes issues with the last 11.3.10 update. Do you have any, with 36db or any other M4l devices ?

Re: Live 11.3.10 - Any issues ? Any fixes ?
Hey,
since Live 11.3.10 i have the issue of CPU Overloads all the time. Even with 1 Track Projects and not much going on. Not one long constant CPU Overload but regular spikes all the time. Following this are constant sound "cracks" and dropouts.
A second issue I had was with a sample I warped in Complex Pro Mode. As soon as I hit a certain high pitch (not sure which octave exactly but lets say +48 semitones) was a very loud and distorted "pop" sound following the track with said sample on it being in the red with "+inf" db. I had to reload the project to get rid of it.
Im running a 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro 16' with macOS Ventura 13.5.1 and currently running Ableton Live with Rosetta since i use a lot of third party PlugIns.
Hope that helps and you may be able to resolve the issues.
Thank you!

Re: Live 11.3.10 - Any issues ? Any fixes ?
I've noticed a severe drop of performance, compared to the previous version, that affect CPU.
My CPU overload too easy and I can't work on heavy project that I've started on previous versions of Ableton Live.
There is a huge lag while using a third party plugin called "Gold 5" by Acustica Audio, it lags every time I performe a change of setting, especially on the EQ.
I'm running Ableton live without using Rosetta on a 2020 M1 MacBook Pro 13' 8 Gb ram with macOS Ventura 13.5.1
Hope my comment helps to solve those issues as soon as possible.
Update: I've installed previous version of Ableton with bad results, nothing changed at all.
Seems that Mac Os Ventura 13.5.1 it's the problem, don't do this minor update that degrades your macbook performance

I'm curious as well.
Still on 11.2.11 (working just fine) and very wary about updating after all the horror stories.

I finally did the update 2 weeks ago, and I'm pleasantly surprised.
Maybe it's something else, but I've got impression that Live is more fluid and uses less CPU. One noticeable thing : the CPU meter clips less often when triggering play/stop or looping something...
But maybe it's only something else
MBP M1 pro / Monterey 12.6.8 / Live 11.3.10

You can read the release notes, that's always very insightful
It's running without any major issue, as usual.
It'd be interesting to know what doesn't work in 36dB's M4L devices, I haven't experience any problem with the one I made nor the other ones I use. Advising people to not upgrade the whole DAW because of an issue with their own M4L devices isn't very fair imo (they could have advised to use an external Max version instead, for example...).
