To those who have been gigging with Live, what controller have you been using? I have been using the Behringer B Controller and its working out well although I think I need something additional. What is your controller setup? I like the fader setup on the Behringer but would like somethig else I could assign eq and effects to.

What do you use it for live as far as assignments? I am still working on what to assign where on my behringer.

I use the bcf for mixing and to trigger clips, the bcr to tweak eq and other filters.

Besides that I use an extra midi keyboard for direct launching of the fill-ins.

I guess I will pick up the BCR2000 to add to my BCF2000, plus I will have an ozonic soon, that should cover all bases yes?

Im using a M-Audio Keystation Pro88 though I do need more Pots for Beat repeat and other things(gonna get a UC-33E). Wanna get a trigger finger too for producing beats too.

Ozonic is a lot more than the Korg. Four 24-bit audio ins & outs, 37 full-size aftertouch-sensitive keys, MIDI interface, everything down a single Firewire cable, more faders, knobs, & buttons than you know what to do with.

And a joystick! :D

For those that have the B controller - what assignments are you using? Do you use presets?

Using the excellent Enigma software, you can create and save 20 presets of all MIDI controllers on the Ozonic.

I have a preset for Live programming, a preset for live Live, one for Arkaos programming, and one for DMX lighting programming. And it only takes 2 button presses on the Ozonic to recall any one of the 20 presets.

Just make sure you back up your presets!

I'm using a Novation X-Station, which has a reasonable number of rotary knobs and faders, 61 keys, and decent although not spectacular 16-bit USB sound. (Oh, and it is a not-too-amazing-but-not-horrible synth too, if that matters to you.)

The best thing about it is that I need only my laptop and the X-Station. Plug right into the mixer via spdif or unbalanced out (d'oh!)
