WHAT HAVE YOU been plugging into your Push 3's USB port?

Post by cc3 » Fri Sep 29, 2023 9:29 pm

It's been a minilab for me and I haven't used it much tbh. Curious what some of the highest leverage devices or use-cases for the usb-midi function would be. Clip launching and mixing faders is an obvious one, but I have been ok with the session view so far.

What have you been using? Any thoughts about cool ways to use this functionality?

My MC707. I use it for volume control, and some midi control over devices racks per track.

Nice topic!

In one of my projects I've been using a USB hub with
- the fake 303: TD-3
- my Roland TR-8S and
- the Arturia Beatstep Pro, leaving
- one spare port I've planned to plug one of my RK-006:s if/when needed :)

The TD-3 for midi out from Push, doubling as a DIN-interface for one of my Volcas.

The idea was to explore TR-8S as a mixer/controller for Push standalone, as shown in a soniclab-video a couple of days ago https://youtu.be/65xaDfBqmaw?si=wRyUy2pEHMB6OmNZ. But I never got around to it and now my plan is to return my Push to Ableton, so it's a project undone.

The Arturia Beatstep Pro - because i love it and it gives me additional controls for when i a creative flow ... :D

[Edit: spelling, correction device name]

read your thread on this. will this allow live projects to load from it? or only sample sources?
