In the melody step sequencer (I believe any layout, for sure in Melodic Sequencer) I cant seem to be able to set the note length neither via pad combo nor using the Length knob if the note before has the same pitch.
FIY I have the Clip View on
Eg.
(prev note is C4) D4 --> works
(prev note is C4) C4 --> length know doesnt change value / pad combo illuminates the LEDs but doesnt actually change the note's length

Is this standalone or controller mode?

I have also noticed that and reported it several times on the betaforum. Ableton has not yet fixed it, but rest assure that they know about it.
