using wav sample packs for music creation

Hello 
I had this idea of creating some creepy music using my audio (wav) sample packs.They all have great bunch of stuff in there, atmospheres, Foley sounds ,creepy voices etc,etc
Combined with some instruments too for good measure,he,he
Whats the best approach to composing using Ableton Live? I have use Live,j before,but not much since the updates just need a refresh,
Thinking do I use the session view and fire off clips,while recording? Or use the arrange view drop samples in there.And start tweaking?
I am going to experiment see what works in the meantime
