I would like to see a CC channel dedicated to the keyboard sustain pedal (CC 64) that runs along the bottom of the piano roll in the same way that note velocities are currently displayed.
Currently the workflow for editing piano sustain pedaling is very tedious. I have to unfold the 'Envelopes' display to the left of the piano roll, select 'MIDI Ctrl' from a the left drop down menu and then select CC 64 from the right drop down menu before I can start drawing pedal changes.
Then, once I'm done re-drawing my pedaling I have to "back out" of the menu and re-focus the piano roll on the note selection. There is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to piano-style pedaling workflows.
This could be a toggle button to display the pedal CC, like the 'velocity' layer or the 'chance' layer.
