I’ve been using Push 3 for a few months and there are a few things I’ve run into that seem like easy fixes:
Some sort of travel mode to prevent it booting up in your bag. My first thought is to hit the power button then any arrow key three times since they’re flush with the body and are unlikely to get pushed by something else, but there are plenty of ways to go about it.
Hold Shift while booting up to force Controller mode.
Some sort of “transfer mode” that lets you copy data to and from Standalone without disconnecting the audio interface. Could be a dedicated mode where Standalone partially boots but doesn’t take over the audio, or it could be a simpler implementation where Live disables audio but automatically switches the device back to Push when you’re done transferring.
They announced Live 12 after I started writing this but before I published — I didn’t see any announcements for Push but my apologies if any of this gets covered off!
