How in GOD's name can I edit default drum rack mappings to my MIDI controller?

I don't know why this is so hard and I can't find an answer. My controller is a Launch Control XL - it has 16 pads, and by default they trigger seemingly random notes in the drum rack at a massive range and it would be 10x easier if I could customize them so that they were all lined up (i.e. C4, C#4,D4, etc.)

But nope - not possible. I can't even edit the MIDI map to trigger "play" on each cell. The Novation software is no help either

MIDI Controller messages need editing, if Novations software doesn't do it, you'll need a translator software like BOMES.
