Automate plugin parameters with Ableton push ?

Im wondering if its possible to automate ableton or 3rd party plugin parameters with the knobs on the Ableton push 2 or 3? Assigning a parameter to a knob, then recording automation, kind of like a guitar pedal. Is this possible?
