Linking arrangement and session view

Is there a way to link clips in arrangement and session view? I want to change the clip gain on the clip when mixing in session view, and this change will be applied to the source clip in arrangement view...

I know someone made a M4L device to offer some kind of clip linking so you might want to try that, but I'm pretty sure it's a pretty finicky workaround (I didn't try it so maybe I'm wrong).
