Hi all. This is my first time using a DAW and digital amps. I read the manual and a few tutorials but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
For now my goal is modest. I want to hook up an electric guitar to my PC and play it with headphones. I am using a Scarlett 2i2, with the guitar connected to the 1st port and with headphones connected to the Scarlett as well.

I am using a built in pack that came with Ableton Live Lite:

The effects aren't applied to the guitar. What am I doing wrong.
P.s. sorry for posting screenshots as links. BBcode IMG tag isn't picking up the images properly. Maybe because they're hosted on google photos?

Re: First time user, can't get guitar pack to work
Put the audio effects on an audio track, from where your guitar comes into Live.

You might want to look into the direct monitoring settings on your interface.
Direct monitoring bypasses the computer so that you can hear what is going in with minimal latency. But your audio isn’t getting processed.
If you change the mix you can set it so there is no direct monitoring, and only monitoring of audio going through the computer (your guitar fx in Live).
You should be able to find info for your interface in this topic on YouTube or in the manual. It’s often adjusted with the software driver
