Weird mouse pointer issue in midi grid

Hey guys, hope anyone can share some thoughts on how to fix this.
On my windows 11 laptop, using my trackpad, Live behaves strangely when placing MIDI notes on the grid:
Basically when I'm editing a MIDI clip, when I double click normally, not too fast, not too slow, as one would, the length of the midi note is set from the start of the midi note to where the pointer clicked, but the pointer gets sent to the end of the note. But when I double click a bit more slowly, the whole midi note gets filled, the cursor still gets sent to the end of the note, but gets returned to where it was later. It's super weird. I'm using a laptop trackpad.

Snap to grid enabled, though disabling does not fix it. Grid size, adaptive grid, nothing works. Changed as much trackpad settings as I could, no change. Any ideas what I could try?
