VST Rave Generator 2
VST Rave Generator 2
Dear forum members,
I recently bought Ableton Live 11 Suite (11.3.21) in combination with MacOs Ventura.
Now I would like install this Plug-In Rave Generator 2
https://blog.wavosaur.com/rave-generato ... the-house/
But unfortunately this VST would not work in Ableton 11 (other VST's are no problem)
Location is HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/ (and then rescan etc. etc.)
What i am doing wrong?
Does it have any effect on the bit version of Ableton 32 or 64 bit ? and where can I see which version I am running of Ableton?
So yes? Can I change this?
Maybe you can help me a little bit furtherhelp you can help me a little further
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I installed rave generator 2 a while back with no issues. Are you on MacOS or windows?

Hi,
Thnx for your reaction
I'm working on MacOs
I see the plug-in recognized in Ableton (rescan left under), but it is not in the list (plug ins) :-/

Re: VST Rave Generator 2
I had the same issue after Installing Live 12 and a macOS Update.
The thing is that this Plug-in is not "Apple Certified".
So you will need to "quarantine" the Apple certification on the AU (.componant) and the VST2 (.vst)
To do this :
Open the Terminal and type/paste :
For the VST.
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/RaveGenerator2.vst
For the AU.
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/RaveGenerator2.component
After hitting "enter" on the terminal, as it is a "sudo" command, the terminal will ask for your session password. It is normal you don't see it on screen when you type.

Re: VST Rave Generator 2
Thanks man,
Managed to get it working by using the terminal, however only as AU not VST.
Still works fine though.
For anyone else struggling use the terminal then in Ableton preferences turn on us Audio Units V2 and rescan.

Re: VST Rave Generator 2
For me the fix for this issue was arming Live 12 to open with Rosetta
(Press CMD + I, or right-click on the file, and select "Get Info."
In the Info window that opens, check the box for “Open using Rosetta."
Close the Info window and re-launch Live.)
