Hey beautiful people,

I have backing vocals that are not on point and therefore seem to sound distorted: is that possible?
If yes how do i fix this without having to do it all over again?

Please help a person out here my head is already aewflkqdbcqkwdcbqwfb

Also: Any tips how to show singers how to harmonise properly and this stuff?

Lots of love

Hard to offer a fix without being able to hear what the issue is. Can you share a snippet of the vocal files so we know what you’re talking about?

if you turn off all effects, turn the clip gain down, and make sure the channel and master aren’t clipping (i.e. they aren’t showing red on the meters during playback), and you still hear distortion, you very likely recorded too hot and will need to re-record, as you were probably clipping the inputs on your interface—unfortunately, there’s not really coming back from that. if it sounds clean, though, you more likely have added processing that’s causing distortion—that can be resolved by tweaking your clip gain and effects.

but like Tarekith says, if we could hear it, it would be easier to help with.

If you set the track 'off' all your problems are gone.
That is the only trick here.
If you want to hear your self directly, you have to use hardware stuff:
A mixer or sound card that sends your voice directly to your headphones.

It is really that simple thing.

P.S. A friend of mine got this problem for years and we fixed this knowledge issue these days.
