I saw different tutorials online where the effects like the compressor are showing the waveform of the track as it is playing, which is super handy when tweaking parameters. For some reason on my Push 3 I cannot see that waveform. Is that something that must be enabled somewhere?

Nothing to set, it should just work.
Are you talking about P3 standalone or controller? Which Live version etc?

P3 standalone. Just got it. I shut it down, turned it back on and now it works
