Ableton Live Sampler / Select samples chronologically

Post by mrdib » Sat Feb 24, 2024 1:46 am

Im trying to build a multisample drum kit with different microphones so I can control the room, overheads etc.
Im aware of using a S&H/random lfo method to select different samples within sampler, but because I'm using other microphone recordings I basically can't use it because it will trigger the direct mic on a snare hit but the overheads/room mic recording of a different room hit, does that make sense?
What I would love to figure out, is there a way to have each time a drum sample is played that it just scans through the samples in the zones linearly or chronologically?
snare drum hit > triggers snare 1 file||||||||||||snare drum hit. > triggers snare 2 file
|||||||||||||||||||||||||> triggers snare 1 room file.||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||> triggers snare 2 room file

If I can't trigger the sample selection in order I might be in trouble !
