Hello All,
When I have a working system, I tend not to update very much but I downloaded Live 12 today and tried to install it but realised that macOS Catalina on my Mac mini 2018 is not supported!
I'm not here to moan about that, I just wondered if anyone recommends any particular MacOS version to go to from 10.15.7?
Cheers All,
Andy.

Ventura should be the most stable and widely supported, for now.

The minimum requirement is Big Sur.

Strangely, Sonoma fixed quite a lot of issues I had with Monterey on my M1 pro. Especially some issues with a MOTU Ultralite mk5 randomly glitching.
It seems they fixed some usb management issues with new laptops (so it does concern me), and it seems Sonoma is quite a stable release in general, but I don't know how it works on older machines.
Regarding the plugins compatibility, I don't have any specific issues with Sonoma (even with NI plugins) and I have around 400 plugins on my machine...
Because I still have a mid-2012 macbook pro I'd like to install live 12 on, I will install Sonoma on it using OpenCore. I had some feedback on this exact config (mid-2012 MBP + Sonoma via OpenCore), and it seems (again, nothing is sure) that it works pretty good.
Personnaly, I would go with Sonoma.

By the way, is there a way to force install Live 12 on a Catalina machine ?
I guess no, but who knows...
